I was just wondering what is the soonest you can feel pregnancy symptoms? And what are the very first pregnancy symptoms besides a missed period? My husband and I have been TTC for a year now and I was just wondering and thought I would ask. Also, I have my period the 28th of every month so I therefore I had my period on Junuary 28, 2009, and have so far had sex with my husband the 6th, 7th, 9th, 10th, 12th, 13th, and the 16th. What are the chances I could’ve got pregnant?

Treating Infertility Based on Lisa Olson’s Pregnancy Miracle Book
Both men and women suffer from infertility caused by various reasons. However, it’s important for both sexes to undergo treatment for this complicated issue.
Various known and unknown factors cause infertility in women. These include diseases like endometriosis, diminished ovarian reserve, ovulation disorders, and low progesterone level. Low sperm count and low sperm motility, STD, injury or chronic diseases, sperm blockage and ageing are some of the reasons men for, which suffer.
Scheduled drugs and systematic treatment can cure most of the above mentioned infertility problems except ageing and chronic diseases, although these treatments are quite expensive and may have harmful side effects. Additional treatment may be required to cure the side effects.
Treatments conducted through IVF or In Vitro Fertilization and ICSI or Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection is best among the other methods of infertility treatment. In this technique, the egg cells outside the womb are fertilized by the sperm and then transferred inside. This treatment is suggested when other techniques fail to give results. This technique is a hormonally controlled ovulation progression. In this treatment involves, the ova is removed from the female’s ovaries and helps the sperm to fertilize in a fluid medium. But this is not a normal process at all and involves excavation of the eggs from the ovary, fertilizing them in an outside laboratory and putting them back in the uterus. In the normal process, the human decides to pick the healthiest sperm for reproducing the egg but in the artificial process, the embryologist takes this decision. However, when he fails to pick the healthiest sperm and egg, it may cause the ill health of the child during birth and even later in life.
Some alternative techniques with a holistic approach are fast becoming popular in order to cure the problem of secondary infertility. These techniques are all the more preferred by people as these have less or no side effects at all.
The acupuncture method, for example, especially ear acupuncture or Auricular is very effective in cases where female infertility has been caused by some kind of malfunction of the ovary. The hormonal message that is transferred from brain to ovary is the most beneficial result received from this technique. In accordance to the investigative trials, those women who have received acupuncture treatment for about 30 times within a time period of 3 months have shown good results. Those female who underwent hormonal therapy along with it suffered from side effects.
In the alternative treatment techniques, diet and lifestyle changes are given a lot of importance. Regular intake of such things that contain caffeine like coffee, chocolate, cocoa, green tea (containing caffeine), black tea and colored soft drinks which has harmful effects on conception is discouraged. According to a study, one and a half cup of coffee for a woman who is trying for pregnancy is sure to delay her conception. Thus coffee is a strictly a no-no for patients suffering from infertility.
Diets that include fish contaminated with PCB or Polychlorinated Biphenyls are also believed to be a cause for substantial reduction in the ability to become pregnant. According to one study, women who had more than one meal containing fish contaminated with PCBs (procured from Lake Ontario), developed reduced fecundity within a month.
The best result for the treatment of infertility has been reported through the Chinese medicines, acupuncture and of course, the holistic approach. The holistic approach reaches to the depth of the problem and only then delivers physical, spiritual as well as emotional treatment, rather than only investigating the organs.
On the other side, the conventional approach to the problem of infertility fails to successfully detect and remove the real causes and moreover, causes side effects. The holistic approach suggests a natural remedy and a way of life that can really solve the problem as soon as the real cause is determined.

My period is due on Friday, June 10th, and I’m not feeling ANY pregnancy symptoms yet. As a matter of fact, yesterday I had cramps, which would mean I’m probably expecting my period, and not that I’m pregnant. Obviously I’m TTC, so this kinda worries me. What symptoms did you start to feel before your period, and how far before your period did you feel them?

Your blood sugar will most likely return to normal after delivery. But gestational diabetes is a warning sign that you are at risk for getting diabetes later in life. You’re also more likely to have gestational diabetes with your next pregnancy. But you can take steps to reduce these risks.
Taking Care of Yourself
Even if your blood sugar goes back to normal, you still need to take care of yourself. This will help prevent diabetes later in life.
Keep your weight down. Eating food that is low in fat and sugar can help you control your weight. If you’re overweight, your risk of getting diabetes in 10 to 15 years more than doubles. Keeping your weight down also reduces your risk of having gestational diabetes with your next pregnancy.
Get regular exercise. Exercise helps lower your blood sugar. It can also help you control your weight.
Have your blood sugar checked. Make an appointment to have your blood sugar checked about 6 to 8 weeks after delivery.
Have regular diabetes screenings. Get checked every year, or as often as your healthcare provider advises.
Breastfeeding
Breast milk is the best food for your baby. Breastfeeding may also help lower your blood sugar. Your healthcare provider can show you how to breastfeed. Be sure to eat a good diet and drink extra fluids while you’re breastfeeding.
Planning Future Pregnancies
You need to be sure your blood sugar is back to normal before you get pregnant again. Have your blood sugar checked before you plan your next pregnancy. And remember that it’s possible to get pregnant again soon after delivery. Talk to your healthcare provider about the best method of birth control for you and your partner.

It’s a myth that being 35 or older means your pregnancy will be high risk. Making the right choices now and working with your health care provider can help your pregnancy be trouble-free.
Things to Think About
Most women who are 35 or older have normal pregnancies, but there are some special things you need to think about before becoming pregnant. Once a woman reaches 35, she has a greater chance of the following:
Having fertility problems
Having a miscarriage or fetal loss in the second or third trimester
Developing diabetes or high blood pressure while pregnant
Being constantly tired when pregnant
Giving birth by cesarean section (surgery needed to deliver a baby)
Having babies with genetic problems such as Down syndrome
Having multiple births
Making the Right Choices
Before and after you become pregnant:
Don’t use recreational drugs.
Don’t drink alcohol.
Don’t smoke.
Keeping You and Your Baby Healthy
Before and during your pregnancy:
Take a daily vitamin supplement that contains folic acid and iron.
Eat a high-fiber, low-fat diet rich in fruits and vegetables.
Stay physically active.
Keep a healthy weight.
You may need extra care if you have any of the following:
Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs)
Diabetes
High blood pressure
Other chronic health problems
Special Health Care
Fertility counseling. As we age, becoming pregnant can be difficult. Ask your health care provider how long you should try to get pregnant before seeking help from a specialist.
Genetic counseling. Genetic counseling studies the risk of birth defects in your baby. You will be asked detailed questions about your family health history and may also have medical tests.
Amniocentesis. This test studies amniotic fluid (liquid that surrounds the fetus in the womb). Amniocentesis can help diagnose birth defects and other medical problems.
